Celtics vs. Hawks Odds & Betting Predictions - March 30, 2026

I love this Hawks team, and I’m going to continue to ride with them until the market correctly values this team. The Hawks have now won 13 straight games at home and 15 of their last 17 overall. When are they going to get their respect? Atlanta is second in net rating in the month of March compared to the Celtics at 9th. The Hawks have been playing as a top five team since the All-Star Break, and I will continue to bet them until the betting markets catch up. The Celtics won last night and beat a very good Hornets team, but tonight will be a much different set of circumstances. Not only is this the second leg of a back to back, but Boston’s lineup will look significantly different. Jayson Tatum, Nikola Vucevic, and Neemias Queta are all out, while Derrick White is questionable. That’s a bunch of core guys potentially not suiting up. They’ll be especially thin at center, with both their starting and backup centers expected to miss this game. I don’t think this line has properly caught up to just how good the Hawks have been and how tough of a spot this is for the Celtics. Our model has the Hawks as a -148 favorite compared to the -112 line we took this morning. This is also a revenge spot for Atlanta after losing in Boston by 7 just three days ago. Atlanta played well in that game despite the loss, even attempting more field goals than the Celtics, which is always something to note. That’s now three straight meetings where the Hawks have won the shot volume battle. Boston is short handed on the second leg of a back to back, give me the rested Hawks to win.

All the trends, the recent matchup data, and the season long power ratings point to value on the Celtics BUT…I think this line is telling a very specific story. 2nd night of a B2B for the Celtics, off a big win, and the Knicks lost which creates an even bigger cushion for the 2-seed. Jaylen Brown is dealing with an Achilles injury, so I doubt they rush him back and Tatum was listed as questionable vs Charlotte - that tells me that there’s a really good chance they “injury management” him on the 2nd night of a road B2B. I think there’s value on the overnight line for Atlanta and we’ll see what the injury report has in store for us tomorrow. Revenge angle on ATL too, since they just lost to the Celtics the other night in BOS.
